US trade court reviews challenge to Trump administration’s 10–12.5% forced-labour tariffs
The US Court of International Trade heard a legal challenge to the Trump administration’s 10–12.5% tariffs on about 60 economies, imposed under a forced-labour justification. Importers and 25 Democrat-led states argued the tariffs recreate a global regime the court and Supreme Court previously invalidated, while the administration says the forced-labour provisions legally justify the duties.
